چکیده

The results presented here are based on many years of experience of development and application of DYANA – an environment for analysis of multiprocessor computer systems operation. The architecture and basic features of such an environments are discussed. Main problems arizing during such an environments design are highlighted and possible solutions are shown. The key features of the DYANA environment are: the possibility of both quantitative and algorithmic analysis of system to be modeled; the time complexity estimation subsystem which helps to avoid the instruction-level simulation of target computer system; support of program development through simulation.

An experience on using simulation environment DYANA augmented with UPPAAL for verification of embedded systems defined by UML statecharts

DYANA 1 is an environment designed for development of distributed systems. We demonstrate that DYANA augmented with UPPAAL is well suited for simulation and model checking of real-time embedded system designs defined with UML statecharts. To this end, we present the case studies of onboard systems for cars and aircrafts as well as of a general-purpose fault-tolerant system for running parallel ...

Dyana: Hla-based Distributed Real-time Embedded Systems Simulation To

In this paper we present DYANA, an HLA-based hardware-in-the-loop simulation tool. This tool is used for distributed Real-Time Embedded Systems (RTES) simulation. RTES models are described by Unified Modeling Language (UML) statechart diagrams. The statechart diagram is transformed into HLA-based Simulation Model (HSM). After translation into HSM we use CERTI as the simulation runtime. The stat...

Development of system decision support tools for behavioral trends monitoring of machinery maintenance in a competitive environment

The article is centred on software system development for manufacturing company that produces polyethylene bags using mostly conventional machines in a competitive world where each business enterprise desires to stand tall. This is meant to assist in gaining market shares, taking maintenance and production decisions by the dynamism and flexibilities embedded in the package as customers’ demand ...

Nonlinear Vibration Analysis of Embedded Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes in Thermal Environment

In this article, based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, the large-amplitude vibration of multiwalled carbon nanotubes embedded in an elastic medium is investigated. The method of incremental harmonic balance is implemented to solve the set of governing nonlinear equations coupled via the van der Waals (vdW) interlayer force. The influences of number of tube walls, the elastic medium, nanotub...

Re-Framing the Knowledge to Action Challenge Through NIHR Knowledge Mobilisation Research Fellows; Comment on “CIHR Health System Impact Fellows: Reflections on ‘Driving Change’ Within the Health System”

The ambition of the Canadian Institutes for Health Research Health System Impact (HSI) Fellowship initiative to modernise the health system is impressive. Embedded researchers who work between academia and nonacademic settings offer an opportunity to reframe the problem of evidence uptake as a product of a gap between those who produce knowledge and those who use it. As such, there has been an ...
